ADULT VOLUNTEERS ARE THE HEART AND HANDS OF GIRL SCOUTS


Imagine being the person who helps a girl ...

...make “S’mores”..tie-dye a shirt...learn about Venezuela...

...write her Congressman...prepare a budget...tie a square knot...

...repair a screen...build a campfire...read a compass...

...plant a garden...change a tire...read a map...create a dream catcher...

...or set goals and ACHIEVE them!

Girl Scout leaders get do all this AND MORE!

There are many ways you can help

WE NEED:

  • Troop leaders and co-leaders
  • Adult trainers proficient in CPR or First Aid
  • Drivers for trips
  • Chaperones for activities
  • Event coordinators
  • Troop sponsors to provide for the day-to day costs of running a troop
  • Resource specialists proficient is specific knowledge or skill areas
  • Sponsors for STUDIO 2B^(SM) destinations trips

WE OFFER:

  • Training: in all program areas, age levels, and activities
  • Support: Staff field executives/ membership outreach specialists, and volunteer service unit leaders
  • Communications: Bimonthly newsletter for adult volunteers, 800 number to the council, Web Page
  • Travel opportunities: With your troop or to training events
  • Recognition: Official recognition of volunteers who make exceptional contributions
  • Opportunity: to share your special abilities, to learn and develop leadership and training skills
  • Satisfaction: knowing you can make a difference in the lives of girls


WHATEVER YOU LIKE TO DO -- share your expertise with girls!.

Adults 18 and over who subscribe to the Girl Scout Promise and Law are eligible to apply.
