Adult volunteers in our organization are the heart and hands of Girl Scouts. It is through volunteer efforts and example that we fulfill our mission: “To inspire Girls with the highest ideals of character, conduct, patriotism and service that they may become happy and resourceful citizens”.
Adult Training Schedule
Because adult volunteers are the core of our success, adult training is an important element of our Girl Scout council's activity. In 2002, almost 1000 adults attended 90 council-operated training courses. The Adult Development Information Packet (2004 packet will be online soon) has been was distributed to all leaders at service unit meetings and can be downloaded here.
